The Power of Listening | How to build Strong Relationship | The need of Strong Relationship.

This blog post highlights the importance of listening in building strong relationships. It highlights the power of truly listening to someone.

Have you ever been in a conversation with someone, but felt like they weren't really listening to you or not showing interest on what you are talking about? Maybe they were distracted by their phone or seemed more interested in talking about themselves than hearing what you had to say. It is frustrating but it is right. We all want to feel heard and understood in our relationships, whether they're romantic, professional, platonic or casual.

That's why listening is such a powerful tool for building strong relationships. When we truly listen to someone, it shows them that we value their thoughts and feelings. We create a space where they can be vulnerable and open up to us. And we learn more about them, which can deepen our connection and understanding.

So, how can we become better listeners? Here are a few tips:

Put away distractions: When you're having a conversation with someone, put away your distractions specially your phone. Give them your full attention.

Practice active listening: Active listening means focusing on what the other person is saying. Ask questions if not understands something or clarify their meaning, and summarize what they've said to make sure you've understood correctly.

Show empathy: Try to put yourself in the other person's shoes and imagine how they're feeling. Validate their emotions and show that you understand their feeling.

Avoid interrupting: Listen to the other person first before you out your thoughts or share your own experience. try to resist your urge. Let the other person finished before you respond.
Follow up: Once conversation is over, follow up with the person to show that you're still thinking about what they said and shows your interest. Send a text or email to check in

Practicing these above points, you can become a better listener and build stronger relationships. Remember, listening is an art that takes practice and intentionality. But the rewards are worth it! When we listen to others, we create deeper connection, see below clip
